The Wichita Police Department arrested a second man in connection to a murder this month. It happened outside the Genesis Health Club near 13th and West.
On Feb. 6 around 8:40 p.m., police responded to shooting call. They located the victim, 22-year-old Lorenzo Wade, with multiple gunshot wounds to his body in the parking lot. Wade died at the scene.
On Wednesday, police arrested 20-year-old Ashantis Bledsoe on suspicion of first-degree murder.
Police also arrested 25-year-old Tanner Mora on Tuesday on suspicion of first-degree murder and an outstanding warrant.
“We know based on the investigation, so far, that they are acquaintances. There was some type of conversation over the phone that led to this meeting in the parking lot over there. It was an argument that led to the shooting. We believe drugs were involved in this incident,” said Capt. Brent Allred, Wichita Police Department.
The case will be presented to the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office.
