WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Department said a deputy was arrested Monday evening by Wichita police at his home.
The deputy was off duty at the time. The arrest was a result of an investigation into a disturbance at the home. The deputy, identified by Sheriff Jeff Easter as Vincent Folston, has been employed with the sheriff’s department for over two years.
In addition to the criminal case, an investigation is also being conducted by the Professional Standards Unit of the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office. The deputy was placed on administrative leave pending the results of the internal investigation.
