Police said the SWAT team responded to an incident last night in south Wichita. It happened at a home in the 1800 block of South Exchange around 8 p.m.

The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Department went to the home for a warrant.

A woman ran out of the home and told officers that the man inside was on drugs. She believed he had a gun.

The SWAT team arrived to assist in the investigation. After several hours, the man, identified on arrest records as 36-year-old Justin D. Catlin, surrendered and was taken into custody.

He was booked for possession of drug paraphernalia, a firearm, and a controlled substance.
