21-year-old Alexis Nolte will serve slightly more than 14 years in prison for the April, 2018 hit-and-run that resulted in the death of 25-year-old Robin Kuebler of Topeka.

Nolte was sentenced Wednesday in Shawnee County District Court for second-degree murder, aggravated assault and leaving the scene of an accident. According to District Attorney Michael Kagay, Nolte will also register as a violent offender for 15 years after she is released from prison.

On April 3, 2018, Topeka police were called to 715 SW Western in response to a hit-and-run. Arriving officers located Kuebler lying in the alley south of the address unresponsive and she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses at the scene described a green SUV that struck her in the parking lot before fleeing from the scene.

Officers located the suspect vehicle within an hour of the call and Nolte was taken into custody.
