Update: Suspect who cut woman’s throat is in custody

UPDATE: The Great Bend Police Department said the suspect who allegedly cut a 19-year-old woman’s throat Thursday has been found. 

Timothy Chism is in police custody, according to authorities. 

Great Bend police are searching for a man who cut a 19-year-old woman’s throat Thursday. 

It happened around 10 p.m. in the 1100 block of Morton Street. 

Witnesses told police a 34-year-old man, identified as Timothy Chism, cut the woman’s throat and fled. 

She was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition. 

At this time, Chism is still at large. Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Great Bend Police Department at 620-793-4120 or Crime Stoppers at 620-792-1300.
