A Wichita man has been sentenced to nearly five years in prison for stealing guns out of an undercover Sedwick County Sheriff’s Office car.

U.S. Attorney Stephen McAllister said Travis J. Keller, 38, of Wichita pleaded guilty to one count of possessing stolen firearms.

Keller admitted that he and Justin Winger took guns from the unmarked car, including a 9 mm handgun, a 12-gauge shotgun and a 5.56 caliber rifle.

Winger is scheduled for sentencing on November 19. Another defendant in the case, Arthur M. Mannie, is scheduled for trial on January 8.

This story has been corrected to show the guns were stolen from a Sedgwick County Sheriff’s car, not a Wichita police car.
