A 22-year-old woman was arrested after a domestic disturbance ended with shots fired. It happened Monday night around 9:20 p.m. in the 1700 block of South Glenn.

Officers arrived at the home and talked with a 26-year-old man. The man stated he was in an argument with his fiancee.

“The female picked up a shotgun and attempted to turn it towards him,” said officer Charley Davidson, Wichita Police Department. “The male pushed the barrel upwards, and it discharged in the room.”

The woman fled with her 16-month-old daughter. Police stopped them near Harry and Oliver. She was arrested for aggravated assault, domestic violence, child endangerment, and criminal discharge of a firearm.

The 16-month-old daughter was returned to her father.
