WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Police say they are having trouble with their investigation of a shooting Thursday afternoon in south Wichita.

The call came in shortly 3:30 p.m. of a shooting at a home in the 400 block of West Hazel Court.

Police found a 30-year-old victim with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. She was rushed to a hospital.

According to police, the shooting stemmed from a disturbance between the woman and a suspect.

“A lack of all cooperation in this investigation has affected investigators from learning all the details of this case,” Officer Charley Davidson said in a WPD news release.

He says this was not a random incident.

If you have information that could help with the case, call Crime Stoppers at 316-267-2111 or WPD detectives at 316-268-4407.
