Democrats remain divided at convention

News

PHILADELPHIA (NBC News) – At the Democratic National Convention Tuesday night, Democrats will make history by nominating Hillary Clinton to top their ticket.

Bill Clinton will speak to boost her candidacy, but the party is divided, with Bernie Sanders supporters protesting on the floor of the convention.

In the roll call, most of them will vote for Sanders.

“The party has a lot of work to do to bring some of the– most of the Bernie Delegates on board,” Michelle Ching, California Delegate, says.

Angry at Sanders for backing Hillary, California delegates gave him an earful today and got one back.

“It is easy to ‘boo,’ but it is harder to look your kids in the face who would be living under a Donald Trump presidency,” Sanders said.

Whether Bernie backers will disrupt again tonight is up in the air.
