NASVHILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – The mother of a man who survived the Waffle House shooting in Antioch, Tennessee is honoring a waitress for saving her son’s life.
Vickie Davis’ son, Michael Garth Sr., was at that Waffle House in April, when a worker named Virginia Stanley asked Garth and a friend to move from the bar to a table because she didn’t want to get water on them while washing dishes.
Moments later, a man walked in and opened fire, killing four people. Garth’s first seat would have been in the line of fire before he was moved by Stanley.
Davis decided to thank the woman she calls “her hero” by teaming up with a local wedding dress shop to help Stanley look extra special on her big day.
