WATCH: Guards of Buckingham Palace play ‘Respect’ to honor Aretha Franklin

Don't Miss This

The Queen of Soul got a royal send-off on Friday from the guys who protect the Queen of England.

Dressed in scarlet jackets and tall fur hats, the Welsh Guard band came together in front of Buckingham Palace to play Aretha Franklin’s “Respect”  during the changing of the guard ceremony, which is popular with tourists.

The tribute came hours before Franklin was honored in her hometown of Detroit with a star-studded memorial service.

Franklin passed away earlier this month after a battle with pancreatic cancer.
