WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – If you love trying local restaurants and helping the community, there’s a great opportunity for you today.
Inter-Faith Ministries is hosting their annual Dine Out Help Out event across Wichita.
Nearly 50 restaurants in town signed up to donate at least 25 percent of their proceeds from today only to help the Inter-Faith homeless shelters. Just let the restaurant know you’re there for the cause.
“As a community, as we continue to grow and develop… We’re in a really nice growth stage within Wichita and the businesses and restaurants are stepping up,” said Garland Egerton, the interim executive director for Inter-Faith Ministries. “We have a lot of civic organizations that are promoting this for us so it shows people are really engaged and investing and helping the community as a whole and helping those who need the help the most right now during this time of year.”
Since last year, Inter-Faith Ministries has seen three times the participation from restaurants.
With winter around the corner, the organization is working to improve and maintain its shelters before the cold sets in.
Check out participating restaurants here and be sure to let them know that you’re there for the cause.
