WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Asking for a friend, every year Kansas Big Brothers Big Sisters works to match local youth with a ‘big’
This week we meet KJ, a hopeful little.
“I am a running back, and I like playing football because I get to run a lot,” he says.
That’s not all KJ is good at. He can also throw and catch well. He is also wicked smart, don’t even try and get him in tic-tac-toe, you’ve already lost before you started.
Maybe that is because he has some cool siblings to hang out with.
“We just play outside, play catch and climb the tree and play video games together,” he says.
KJ is a fun 10 year old about to slide into his 11th birthday in September, and there is one thing he definitely wants, a big brother.
“I don’t have an actual big brother that will help me or take me places or anything,” KJ explains.
He does have a big brother, but he says he is only a year older than him, he is hoping for someone he can look up to.
“It seems fun,” says KJ. “Because we get to go to different places, have jokes, and other fun stuff.”
He says it is something that has been on his mind for quite a while
“For seven months,” KJ says.
Sometimes it’s fun to get out of the house. KJ is looking for someone he can relate to.
“Funny, active and likes to do fun stuff like me,” says KJ.
If you chose KJ, you’d be the one scoring a touchdown.
