Teens in viral promposal have fun at dance

Good News

GARDEN PLAIN, Kan. (KSNW)  – Now to a follow up on a story KSN News first told you about last week.

A Garden Plain senior invited the whole school to watch him ask a special someone to the prom.

Over the weekend, both 17-year-olds Kadi McDonough and Logan Nienstedt made it to the big dance. From the looks of the pictures, both had a great time.

The teens have disabilities that make them non-verbal, but the two have been best friends since kindergarten.

“Every time they’re in the room together, they’re holding hands or reaching for each other or looking at each other,” said Monica Nienstedt, Logan’s mom.

“We don’t get a whole lot of normal moments,” said Julie McDonough, Kadi’s mom said. “To have something normal, it just fills your heart.”
