Voluntary nationwide recall issued for infant ibuprofen sold at Walmart, CVS, Family Dollar

A voluntary nationwide recall has been issued for three lots of infant ibuprofen. 

The recalled lots of the product have been found to potentially have higher concentrations of ibuprofen.

The product is used a pain fever and/or fever reducer and was packaged in 0.5 ounce bottles for the recalled lots below:

  • Equate: Infants’ Ibuprofen -Concentrated Oral Suspension, USP (NSAID), 50mg per 1.25 mL, 0.5 oz. bottle

– Expiration dates: 2/19, 4/19, 8/19

  • CVS Health: Infants’ Ibuprofen Concentrated Oral Suspension, USP (NSAID), 50mg per 1.25 mL, 0.5 oz. bottle

– Sold at CVS Pharmacy

– Expiration date – 8/19

– NDC – 59779-925-23

– LOT – 00717024A

  • Family Wellness: Infants’ Ibuprofen Concentrated Oral Suspension, USP (NSAID), 50mg per 1.25 mL, 0.5 oz. bottle

– Sold at Family Dollar Services Inc.

– Expiration date – 8/19

– NDC – 55319-250-23

– LOT – 00717024A

Tris Pharma, Inc has notified its customer by urgent recall notice.Tri Pharma, Inc sold the affected lots to one customer, which distributed them into the US market.
