Kansas Congressman Mike Pompeo talks about Vice Presidential debate

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Tuesday night’s vice presidential debate was watched by millions, and it had a Kansas connection.

Republican Congressman Mike Pompeo of Kansas was asked by the Trump campaign to help Mike Pence prepare for the debate.

KSN talked to Pompeo late Wednesday afternoon, and he says he felt Pence did well and that he represented how a Trump-Pence campaign would benefit the Kansas economy.

Pompeo says “For Kansan’s, who are looking to make sure that they have a job, and that their children get opportunities when the get out of school, and for those of us who view it as critically important that we keep Kansan’s safe, Hilary Clinton has proven that she can’t accomplish that. We have seen her policies and the Trump-Pence team will take us in a different direction and will be a lot better for Kansas.”

The next presidential debate is scheduled for October 9th.
