2 Oklahoma teens killed in Kansas crash

Two teenagers from Oklahoma were killed in car crash Sunday. It happened in Seward County. 

The crash happened around 1:15 in the morning at the intersection of U-54 and Blue Bell Road in Liberal. 

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, an 18-year-old Liberal man was traveling in a Dodge Durango westbound on Blue Bell Rd. when he failed to stop at the end of the road, ran over a concrete curb and entered onto a divider.

The man then struck a boulder before leaving the divider onto US Highway 54. Once on the highway, the man struck a BMW that had four people from Oklahoma inside. That vehicle was struck on the passenger side. 

Austin Olson, 18, of Collinsville, Oklahoma and Conner Smith, 19, of Tyrone, Oklahoma died as a result of the crash. 

The drivers of both vehicles as well as one other passenger also suffered injuries.
