One suspect arrested in Winfield shooting

WINFIELD, Kan. (KSNW) - Winfield police have arrested one suspect believed to be involved in a shooting Friday afternoon. It happened in the 500 building of St. James Court just after 2 p.m.

Police said a 26-year-old man was taken to a Wichita hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

During the investigation, police learned that there were two suspects. One suspect was located and taken into custody in the 1900 building of St. James Court. He has been identified as 20-year-old Deasian Fair of Wichita. Fair was booked on suspicion of attempted second-degree murder as well as aggravated robbery. 

Investigators are following up on leads to identify the second suspect.
