Earthquake reported in northcentral Kansas

The United States Geological Survey said an earthquake measuring 3.7 magnitude occurred Wednesday morning 15 miles east of Plainville. It happened around 10 a.m.

The temblor was recorded at a depth of about 3 miles.

No injuries or damage were reported. Geologists say damage is not likely in earthquakes below magnitude 4.0.
