It was a first in the books for the Prairie Village Police Department.
The department announced that Wednesday night was the first time in the history of the PVPD that a female crew was protecting and serving the community.
In a post to Facebook, the Prairie Village Police Department asked, “Did you sleep well and feel safe last night?”
Aside from the sergeant on duty, women dispatchers and officers were patrolling and “taking care of business and keeping the community safe.”
