KHP trooper uninjured in crash in Pottawatomie County

POTTAWATOMIE COUNTY, Kan. (KSNW) - A Kansas Highway Patrol trooper was injured in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon in Pottawatomie County. The crash occurred on US Highway 24 and Rockenham Road. That's north of St. George, Kan.

KHP says a 2001 Chevrolet passenger car was traveling westbound on US 24 when it attempted to turn south onto Rockenham Rd, failing to yield to a KHP Dodge what was traveling eastbound on the highway.

A 43-year-old woman from St. George was injured and taken to Stormont Vail Hospital in unknown condition. 

The 30-year-old KHP trooper was not injured in the crash.

The drivers of both vehicles were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
