The man accused of a racially motivated attack on a child was in court on Tuesday. Trace Riff was in court for a competency hearing.
A judge determined he was competent for trial.
Riff is accused of an attack back in December at a Wichita Dillons. Police said he kicked a 1-year-old boy in the back while yelling racial slurs and called himself a white supremacist.
He is charged with attempted aggravated battery, disorderly conduct and interference with law enforcement in that case.
In a separate case, he is charged with drug possession.
