Officials investigating two deaths in Sumner County as murder-suicide

Authorities in Sumner County are investigating a murder-suicide after two bodies were found in a rural area Saturday. 

The bodies were found in the 1000 block of East 130th not far from South Haven by a passing motorist. Deputies found a man and woman dead from gunshot wounds to the head. 

The Sumner County Sheriff’s Department identified the man as 36-year-old Toby Farley of Wellington and 27-year-old Carrie Ensminger of Emporia. 

An autopsy was ordered, and the bodies were taken to the Sedgwick County Regional Forensic Science Center in Wichita.
