Park Aerospace expands its Kansas facility, expects to create 60 new jobs


NEWTON, Kan. (KSNW) – More jobs are expected to be coming to Harvey County very soon, helping to support the aviation industry in Kansas.

Park Aerospace Corp. announced it is adding on to its facility in Newton. The company manufactures and supplies composite materials that are used by another company to produce composite engine nacelles and other structures for Boeing and Airbus.

Brian Shore, Chairman and CEO, says the they’ve been asked to expand by that company, Middle River Aerostructure Systems, to expand and build a redundancy facility.

The expansion is expected to bring in 60 new jobs.
