Police investigate after body found in Salina

SALINA, Kan. (KSAL) – Police are investigating a scene in southwest Salina after a body was discovered in a field Friday.

The body was discovered around 9:15 a.m. southwest of the Crawford and Centennial intersection in a field west of the flood control levy, between the levy and Interstate 135. Police say a bicyclist was riding in the area when he spotted what they believed was a person lying in the grassy area near the intersection.

The Salina Police Department responded and found a deceased man who has since been identified as Allegro Edwards Jr., 32, from Salina.

The Salina Police Department said in a Friday afternoon statement that the cause of death is currently unknown and the investigation is ongoing.

They are asking the public for any information they may have regarding this man.
