Scott City woman dies after crash in northwest Kansas

The Kansas Highway Patrol said an 84-year-old Scott City woman has died after a crash in Sheridan County.

It happened around 7 p.m. on K-23 about four miles south of Hoxie. Authorities closed down K-23 in order to investigate. 

Trooper Tod Hileman with the Kansas Highway Patrol said the victim died after the Camero she was driving collided with a truck hauling an oversized load. 

The victim has been identified as Betty L. Eisenhour. 

The driver of the truck was not injured. 

CORRECTION: The story stated the accident happened in Gove County. It occurred in Sheridan County.
