High winds and severe weather caused traffic delays in Sherman County Thursday night. Drivers who were traveling along I-70 were urged to use caution between Goodland and the Colorado stateline.
All lanes of I-70 were cleared Thursday night.
According to Cheyenne, Rawlins, and Sherman County Emergency Management, emergency crews responded to multiple accidents, including over a dozen trucks blown over due to the severe weather.
One semi fell on top of a car in Sherman County and authorities said everyone involved in that crash is going to be OK.
A video posted by the Sherman County Sheriff’s Office also shows a trailer toppled at a rest stop and piles of hail melting on the ground.
The Sherman County Sheriff said a barn was demolished, a mobile home was damaged and power lines are down in the area.
The department said power lines have also been reported down in the area near Kanorado. Law enforcement is also reporting several roads are washed out.
