A Texas man has been sentenced to more than 14 years in prison for murder and involuntary manslaughter while driving under the influence.

His actions led to a fatal crash in November of 2016 that resulted in the deaths of Jessica Thomson and her two children, Leah and Jaydon. Leah was five-years-old at the time and Jaydon was six.

Steven Johnson, 45, of Houston, pleaded guilty in March to one count of murder in the second degree and two counts of involuntary manslaughter DUI.
