Thousands have flocked to El Dorado Lake, not to cool off from the summer heat, but to take in country music.

The second annual Dam Music Fest got underway Friday night.

Organizers say this year’s event is much bigger than last year’s festival.

“This year we’ve sold tickets in 300 cities which that could be more now and then 20 states and five countries,” said CJ Wilson, event organizer.

“I came for the beach party bands because I like the local bands but the big name Toby Keith, Aaron Lewis, Brantley Gilbert,” said Patrick Osner and Amy Ward, attendees of the Dam Music Fest.

Toby Keith will take center stage Saturday night. And organizers say they are already preparing for next year.
