Two people are dead after a head-on crash in Cowley County. It happened around 7:15 a.m. on US Highway 160 near 141st Rd just east of Winfield.
According to the Cowley County Sheriff’s Office, a 1996 Chevy pickup, driven by 22-year-old Timothy Call of Cedar Vale, was traveling westbound when he crossed the center line and struck a 2004 Ford pickup that was heading east.
The driver of the Ford, 64-year-old Geraldine Patrick of Shell Knob, Mo., was transported to Wesley Medical Center. She later died. A passenger, 58-year-old Patricia Blake of Dallas, Ga, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Call was transported to the hospital for his injuries
