Drivers, students injured in bus accident in Greenwood County

GREENWOOD COUNTY, Kan. (KSNW) - Authorities in Greenwood County are investigating a school bus accident. It happened Tuesday around 7:30 a.m. at CC & Virgil Road. 

A small passenger truck struck the side of the Hamilton USD 390 bus, causing it to slide into the ditch. 

Two drivers and four students were transported to Greenwood County Hospital to be checked out. Their injuries are non-life threatening. Six students were on the bus at the time of the accident. They range in age from elementary to high school.

KSN contacted Greenwood County Hospital and they said seven people from the accident have been treated and five have been discharged. 

Greenwood County Emergency Management is not for sure whether fog in the area led to the crash.
