U.S. 81 is closed for about a six-mile stretch from the K-55 intersection to the Sumner/Sedgwick County line due to water crossing the highway.
K-55 is closed for about a 2.5-mile stretch from the U.S. 81 intersection to the Belle Plaine city limit due to water across the roadway.
The Kansas Department of Transportation reminds travelers to not drive into standing water or go around barriers at closed roads.
