Earlier this month, we told you about a little dog from Texas who was in big trouble after it fled from a rollover accident in Osborne County three weeks ago.
Well, the dog has been found safe and sound! And the owners are on their way back to Texas with their sweet dog, Sable.
Sable the dog was out roaming in Osborne County for 20 days after the rollover and since then volunteers have been searching for her not knowing if she’d be alive.
“Unbelievable, it’s just a miracle,” said Judy and Don Pullen, owners of Sable. “It is.”
Judy and Don Pullen say their first miracle is that they walked away from the rollover accident with no injuries.
And since then, they’ve been asking for just one more miracle — to get their dog back.
“There’s miss Sable, there baby girl. There she is,” said the Pullens.
This 20-pound pup managed to survive 20 days alone out in the fields of Kansas – and not to mention with the freezing temperatures.
But those odds didn’t keep the Pullens looking for their baby girl.
“We just happened to be there,” said the Pullens. “We left from Central Texas to just go up there to put up more flyers.”
And as they hung the flyers, they received a call from the Osborne veterinarian that a woman and a hunter from Texas spotted Sable.
With the help from the Osborne community, the Pullens found their dog on the side of the road after Judy started singing the “Stable song.”
“We cried. She cried. She cried. I heard her cry,” said the Pullens.
Safe and sound, the Pullen family is complete. And they say Sable sure had the full Kansas experience.
“We’re taking our little girl home!”
The Pullens said they are so thankful for this miracle and to everyone in the community that helped them.
