WICHITA, Kansas – KSN’s Leon Smitherman updated his recovery from colon cancer surgery on Kansas Today Tuesday morning.
Leon said his prognosis is good, and his lab results came back cancer free.
He said Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday were pretty blurry after recovering from surgery. He also informed the Kansas Today team he had to have a blood transfusion.
Leon said that on Monday he made some great strides, and that he will continue his recovery at home after being released from the hospital later today.
“I feel fantastic,” said Smitherman. “I feel like I got attacked by an alligator in my gut.”
