Sedgwick County authorities say two people were killed in a crash after a semi and a pickup truck collided south of Goddard Wednesday night.
Sgt. Michael Hollie with the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office said the driver of a pickup truck was traveling southbound on 183rd St. when it is believed the individual ran a stop sign and struck a semi traveling westbound on MacArthur.
Both vehicles were engulfed in flames after the collision.
The driver and the passenger of the pickup truck were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi truck was checked out by EMS and released with minor injuries.
Authorities are investigating to determine the identity of the two victims who were killed in the crash.
No other people are believed to be involved with the crash at this time.
Traffic in the area was closed as authorities investigated.
