KSN is a proud sponsor of the Great Bend Farm and Ranch Expo, which opened today.
It features more than 700 exhibits, including the newest tractors, combines and implements.
Farmers can also see the latest technology to improve crop and livestock production.
Another crowd favorite is the animal demonstrations. You might call J.D. Wing a horse whisperer who says animals are a lot like people.
“They’re all different,” explained J.D. Wing, professional horse trainer. “You may come in with a game plan, and it doesn’t work out so you have to stay open-minded and patient.”
Darren Dale, the owner of Farm and Ranch Expo, said they are getting people from five to six states, attendee-wise. And vendor-wise, they are coming from 25 states.
Visitors can also see a stock dog demonstration on how border collies move an corral cattle.
The Great Bend Farm and Ranch Expo runs through Friday.
There is more than 700 booths and exhibits on display. The expo is at 455 W. Barton County Road, by the airport. Parking and admission are free.
