Authorities make 8 arrests during patrols around NCAA Tournament

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Authorities made eight arrests, worked 36 cases, and responded to 108 calls in the area around the NCAA Tournament last week. 

The Wichita Police Department said the arrests spanned over four days. 

Officers said the cases investigated included criminal damage to property, driving on a suspended license, aggravated battery, outstanding warrants, domestic violence, unlawful discharge of a firearm and possession of drug paraphernalia, marijuana, and narcotics.

Officers worked four zones around the arena and patrolled the area on foot, bicycle, horse, and by video surveillance.
