Autopsy report reveals meth in system of Derby man who killed wife, shot himself

Local

KSN is learning more information about the murder of Kristin Florio-Gile, the Derby mother of six who was shot and killed by her estranged husband in October.

An autopsy report for Randy Gile has been released weeks after the murder-suicide

According to the report, Randy Gile had meth in his system when he chased Kristin down the street and shot her.

Gile then turned the gun on himself.

Kristin did have a protection from abuse order in place at the time she was killed

Court documents show at least two protection from abuse (PSA) orders were filed against Randy Gile.

One was on July 31, 2016 and the other was active on the day Kristin was killed.

Police records also show that Randy Gile was arrested on September 16, 2018 on suspicion of seven counts of aggravated assault and one count of criminal threat.

There was also a report made to Wichita police alleging child endangerment on the same day.

Divorce proceedings between Kristin and Randy Gile had been started back in 2016 but were not completed.
