Chiefs fans battle winter weather to attend playoff game in Kansas City

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) - Driving along the Turnpike headed north to Kansas City. A route many Chiefs fans took today to get them to Arrowhead stadium.

Ahead of Saturday's matchup, fans first had to battle the winter weather along their journey.

"Travel hasn't been too bad, we started off this morning and a couple of flurries were coming down and expecting it to get kind of worse but as we've been coming up here it hasn't been too bad," said Michael Layton who is traveling to the game from Wichita.

"I just know there's more snow on the roads father North that's what my sister called this morning and told me." "it's all doable you just got to go slower," said Shane Michael. He's traveling from Wichita to Topeka for a game watch party with his relatives.

"It's been good travel so far clean roads clean highways not much traffic but we expect that to change the further north we go," said fan Matt Azure who is traveling from Medicine Lodge.

Further North to their final destination. The most snow waiting for them at Arrowhead stadium. A game fans say they wouldn't miss.

"Worth it all the way, oh yea, going to have good times," said Brothers Sam and Nick Clubb traveling from Valley Center.
