Children will start school year off in style thanks to donations

Children from the Wichita Children’s Home will start their school year off in style thanks to local residents and organizations.

Several stepped up to donated clothes and school supplies for the New Clothes for Class drive.

The donations will help more than 100 students.

“It’s really exciting and just fills our heart when we see the community support our kids the way that they do,” said Kim Pennington, Wichita Children’s Home.

KSN partnered with Mid America Exteriors and DeVaughn James Injury Lawyers, who both donated checks for $1,000 to the home.

“There’s nothing more important than kids, and just knowing you could help a kid out is a special feeling,” said Dustin DeVaughn, DeVaugh James Injury Lawyers.

“It makes me really happy to send kids to school with a new backpack or new clothes or whatever they need,” said David Becker, Mid America Exteriors.
