After more than a month, crews worked Friday to remove the graffiti on the historic Minisa bridge in north Wichita. Earlier this month, the city of Wichita told KSN the cold weather was making it difficult to remove the paint.
Friday afternoon, one westbound lane on 13th street on the bridge was closed off so that the city of Wichita could get a bucket truck in to remove the graffiti.
Local business owner, Steven Longdon of Major League Mobile Wash donated the materials and manpower to remove the graffiti on parts of the historically-preserved bridge.
“When I saw about the graffiti, I knew I could help,” Longdon said.
Longdon and his employees applied a treatment to the paint on the bridge before power-washing it gone.
