Mel Hambelton Ford donated two cars to South High’s auto tech program on Tuesday. Students will learn how to use newer technology.
Instructors at the school say this will give future mechanics a head start when it comes to landing a job in the automotive field.
“In the end, the training that they do receive with them will help them get that entry level job if they wanted to right away or just get them another heads up through the post secondary if they are going through college,” said Darin Culver, automotive instructor at South High School.
One of the cars will be used in the auto service and repair program.
The other will be used in the collision and refinishing program.
