Former Cowboys running back makes another court appearance

Local

Former Dallas Cowboys running back Joseph Randle was back in court Tuesday.

Randle is accused of attacking a woman last September and sexually assaulting her for several hours. He is charged with multiple counts of rape and sodomy.

During the arraignment, where a trial date was set, Randle continued to interrupt his own lawyer, forcing Judge Kevin O’Connor to give him a warning.

“Mr. Randle, there are rules in the courtroom, and I have explained this to you many times, that you’re going to follow the rules, you have an attorney, and the attorney will be responsible for noting any objections, and I’m going to ask for your attorney’s position on this.”

Randle’s trial is scheduled to start on June 24.
