Former Pawnee County Sheriff's detective pleads guilty to three charges

LARNED, Kan. (KSNW) - A former Pawnee County Sheriff's detective pled guilty Monday to three felony charges pending against him. 

Jeffrey Allen King pled guilty to making a false information, misuse of public funds, and theft. The violations occurred between January 9, 2015 and October 13, 2017. The total dollar amount of the theft is $20,318.29.  

A judge scheduled the sentencing for May 25. King resigned from the department back in February. 

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation, with the cooperation of and at the request of the Pawnee County Sheriff's Office, investigated.
