A grass fire that started this past weekend as a result of a controlled burn flared up again Monday afternoon.
The fire was located in the 12150 block of N. 79th Street East in Sedgwick County near the Harvey County line. Overall, the fire burned more than 20 acres, officials said.
Officials on the scene said high winds cause the fire to restart. Those winds helped the fire spread Monday afternoon.
No one was hurt and no property was destroyed.
Fire officials said the blaze was brought under control. However, firefighters will remain on the scene to monitor and extinguish hot spots.
