UPDATE: Juvenile arrested after threats made at Hoisington middle school

HOISINGTON, Kan. (KSNW) - UPDATE: Captain Josh Nickerson with the Hoisington Police Department says a juvenile was arrested Thursday after threats were made toward Hoisington schools.

He said the juvenile male was arrested for aggravated criminal threat.

No additional details have been released at this time. 


Hoisington schools had an increased police presence Thursday morning. 

According to the superintendent, a verbal threat was reported by a student. No one has been taken into custody, and school is in session. 

Parents have been notified of the situation.  

However, a junior high track meet was canceled later today due to safety concerns
