Huzzah! Weather doth not damper Wichita Renaissance Festival

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) - It hasn't exactly been pretty outside today, but that hasn't put a damper on all the fun.

"Good day good gentles good day," Ellen Wilmette could be heard saying at the Renaissance Festival in Wichita Saturday.

She was one of the many medieval characters gracing the event that started Saturday at Sedgwick County Park.

Those who braved the rain were able to enjoy dancing, food, fairies and yes, even pirates.

"It's the fans, the people that come out even when adverse weather hits and want to come out and have a good time and you're going to be there to perform for them," said Tim Kasper, performer.

If you missed out on the fun today, there's always Sunday. The 15th annual festival will go from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
