Kansas native killed in powerboat accident


SANFORD, Fla. (KSNW) – A Kansas native has died after a boating accident in Florida.

Mike Salber was in a powerboat race down in Jacksonville when his boat crashed into another. It sent his boat into the air. The boat landed on top of him. Three other people were taken to the hospital.

Salber graduated from Goddard High School. He was a lieutenant paramedic for the Sanford Fire Department. Salber was 56 years old. He leaves behind four children.
