The Air Force is scheduled to accept the first KC-46A Pegasus during a ceremony Jan. 25 at McConnell Air Force Base.

The base began a $267 million construction and renovation program in preparation for the arrival of the new tankers.

The KC-46 will serve alongside the KC-135 Stratotanker.

The tankers supply aerial refueling, airlift, and aeromedical evacuation capabilities for America’s military and its allies around the world at a moment’s notice.
