KHP: Four fatalities reported in rollover crash on I-70 near Abilene

ABILENE, Kan. (KSNW)  – Four people are dead after a one-vehicle accident on Interstate 70 in eastern Kansas.

The accident was reported just before 10 a.m. Tuesday in Dickinson County, near Abilene.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol crash logs, the driver of a 2001 Dodge Dakota lost control due to weather conditions. The truck traveled 230 feet next to the guardrail and then continued another 150 feet on top of the guardrail. The truck then fell 25 feet off of a bridge and landed on its top on an embankment.

The driver, 47-year-old Lisa Luft and three passengers, 14-year-old Aria Luft, 20-year-old Brianna Luft and 18-year-old Saleena Senzee were killed in the crash. All four were from Kearney, Missouri.

The KHP says the driver was the only one wearing a seat belt.
